The night before its back to work

So it’s now the time, to start preparing for the first day back to work, after the christmas and new year celebrations. I have thoroughly enjoyed having 2 weeks off from work celebrating with family and friends. Most favourite of all, has been spending lots of quality time with my son.

To make the last night before work more enjoyable I have indulged in a hearty home-made dinner, Lush cosmetic bath and lots of chocolate.

This delicious recipe was from website.

  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 500g lamb mince
  • 1tbsp plain flour
  • 1tbsp tomato puree
  • 275ml vegetable stock
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • Black pepper
  • 450g potatoes
  • 200ml milk
  • 50g unsalted butter

Finely chop the onion, carrot and garlic. Then place in a pan with the olive oil and saute for 5 minutes over a medium heat.                                                                                                                  Add the lamb mince and break up well with a wooden spoon; cook until its browned. Sprinkle in the flour and mix well, add the tomato puree, stock, worchestershire sauce and pepper, mix well, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.

Peel the potatoes and cut into even sized pieces, cover with hot water and simmer for 20 minutes. Drain when cooked, return to the pan and shake over a low heat to steam off excess moisture.

Remove from the heat and crush with a potato masher until its smooth, add milk, butter and pepper and beat until fluffy and well blended.

heat the oven to Gas 5, 190 oc, fan 170 oc. Place the meat into an ovenproof dish. Carefully spoon the mashed potato onto the mix and use a fork to spread the potato over the top, sealing in the meat and making a stripey pattern.

Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes until the top of the potato is slightly golden. Serve with green salad or steamed broccoli.

After a lovely dinner, it was time to have a relaxing bath. Baths are my favourite way to relax, unwind and warm myself up. I am a sucker for a Lush bath bomb and use one whenever i can. They make your bath a beautiful colour, full of fluffy bubbles and smell amazing!!! not to mention, soft skin, which smells great after too.

This is a small collection of bath goodies I was very fortunate to receive for Christmas and my birthday. My birthday being on boxing day! Double whammy of Lush cosmetics for me, im not complaining.                                                                                                                                               Then to add a bit more fun to the bath, why not add the disco bath light I also recieved for christmas. It was lovely and relaxing and the colourful bright lights were the perfect touch. A bath for a Diva!
