Home: Grey and White theme…

It’s nice to update and revamp your home every once in a while. Our taste and fashion changes all the time and sometimes it’s hard to keep up. If you don’t have the money, and are shopping on a budget, then a few little extras can make a difference and can make your home look and feel like it’s been re-decorated.

I have been living in my new home for just over a year now, so have been decorating rooms one by one. I can’t afford to re-decorate every room in one go but wanted to spruce up my living room and change the colour theme slightly. I have been loving the colour grey!

Hopefully in the next few months the living room will be re-decorated but for now these are some affordable Ideas..

This cushion was £6 from matalan so I purchased a few of these to go on both the sofas. I love the pattern and they made a big difference from having brown and duck egg blue cushions previously!

This adorable box, is actually a storage box. It has a lid which opens up on a hinge and is perfect for storing a blanket or board games etc. This cost £25 from matalan

I love this rug so much! It makes the room look so much different than before. This was £75 from an online rug website.

I have been looking for place mats for the dining table for months! I hadn’t found anything that stood out or that I really loved until I found these yesterday! These cloth table mats were £12 for 2 in John Lewis. They match the rug and think they look great with the colour theme.

Wish list…

I have found this throw on the matalan website and for only £15 what a bargain! I am going to purchase this to have on the edge of the sofa.

So the living room has got a long way to go, new paint, new sofa, new lampshade and floor lamp. But the little extras for now have made it feel homely and like a new room, and they didn’t break the bank!

Thanks for reading x
